One Piece has been a worldwide phenomenon since it debuted in the 90s. The series is still running (along with its manga) and the author has confirmed the franchise is getting close to the end. In addition, Netflix is set to release the live-action series inspired by the original story later this month.

Due to these reasons, it is no surprise that fans and supporters want to jump into the hype regarding One Piece, and economist Sri Mulyani Indrawati from Indonesia is no exception. The woman, who has been the Minister of Finance in the Asian country since 2016, posted a picture to her Instagram profile resembling a One Piece character.

The Minister decided to put on the iconic straw hat the protagonist of the series, Monkey D.Luffy, has been known for all throughout the manga books and the anime show. The 60-year-old public server shared 3 photos in total, one comparing her pose to Luffy’s, another one on her own, covering the upper part of her face, and a final picture smiling at the camera.

She decided to accompany her photos with a caption that describes One Piece at its best. “Friendship and help those in need. Pursue your dream – never give up and loosing hope.” She said, probably referring to not losing hope in difficult times. The Minister later added
“There are so many ways to teach wisdom and good values,” maybe making reference to One Piece’s lessons in every episode.
