Netflix and Microsoft have partnered for the technology company to promote a new subscription plan with advertising to the streaming platform, which will be lower in price for consumers.
Microsoft said it was named Netflix’s technology and sales partner to help power its first ad-supported subscription offering. At launch, consumers will have more options to access Netflix’s award-winning content.
All ads published on Netflix will be available exclusively through the Microsoft platform. Today’s announcement also supports Microsoft’s approach to Privacy, which is built on protecting customer information.

“This is a great day for Netflix and Microsoft. We are excited to offer new premium value to our ecosystem of sellers and partners, while helping Netflix offer more options to its customers“, Microsoft added in its official blog.
“In April, we announced that we will introduce a new, lower-priced ad-supported subscription plan for consumers, in addition to our existing Ad-Free Basic, Standard and Premium plans. Today we are pleased to announce that we have selected Microsoft as our global ad technology partner and sales”, Netflix COO Greg Peters said.
“We are excited to work with Microsoft as we bring this new service to life”, said the Netflix executive.
