Amber Heard could go to jail if fabrication of evidence is confirmed

Once the oral hearing phase is over, the legal consequences of the trial faced by Johnny Depp and Amber Heard will be determined by the action of the jury, which will meet again this Tuesday, May 31st, to analyze the evidence and testimony offered by the two parties to defend their positions regarding the accusations of defamation.

Similarly, certain lawyers, experts and professional commentators share their opinions and predictions about the future verdict, but also about the effects that some of the practices that have been attributed to her could have on the interpreter, such as the alteration of photos in which she appears visibly injured, presumably as a result of the mistreatment of her ex-husband.

Aaron Minc, a lawyer specialized in defamation cases, is convinced that there are more and more indications that point in that direction of the “fabrication” of evidence, so he estimates that, if this theory is confirmed, Amber Heard could face a crime of perjury and false testimony, which could land her in prison.

I think that as this case unfolds, we are seeing more and more evidence that she has lied under oath. And that implies crossing a line“, Minc said to the Joe news portal.

If true, this jurist assures that the prosecution and the magistrates will have no mercy with the former protagonist of Aquaman, who would have “offended” the entire judicial system of his country in this way.

If the possibility is corroborated that she has been fabricating evidence, photos, injuries, ultimately altering reality and knowingly recording it, it is likely that prosecutors will formally charge her and bring her to trial, which could mean jail time“, he argued.
