OpenAI has launched GPT-4.5, along with its chatbot ChatGPT-4.5, aiming to set a new milestone in Artificial Intelligence development. This new version promises to be more powerful, reliable, and accurate than its predecessor, GPT-4o. While the previous model still delivers exceptional performance, ChatGPT-4.5 represents a significant leap forward, paving the way for the arrival of ChatGPT-5 later this year.

Compared to GPT-4o, a notable improvement has been observed in reasoning and information processing capabilities. While in some cases GPT-4o may provide longer responses, the fluency and coherence of GPT-4.5 have reached a new level.

According to OpenAI’s official page, one of the key enhancements is in unsupervised learning, which allows for greater accuracy in responses and a better ability to interpret user intent. Although it does not have the advanced reasoning of GPT-4o3, its interaction with users is now much more natural and intuitive.

Another crucial aspect is the reduction of hallucinations, one of the biggest challenges in AI. With GPT-4.5, OpenAI has made remarkable progress in this area, providing more precise and reliable responses. Additionally, the model has improved in everyday and general tasks, beyond its programming focus, delivering strong performance across a wide range of queries.

Security has also been a top priority in this update. OpenAI has worked to ensure that responses are more precise and safe, reducing bias and processing errors.

Regarding performance, GPT-4.5 has outperformed previous versions in all key areas, including reasoning, mathematics, and programming, with improvements of up to 10% in certain aspects. However, GPT-4o3 Mini remains an interesting option due to its advanced reasoning capabilities.

The most exciting news is that GPT-4.5 is already available for Pro users, who can access it immediately. For those with Plus and Enterprise subscriptions, access will roll out next week. However, general availability is still limited due to high GPU demand, delaying the expansion of the service.

Despite these challenges, Sam Altman has emphasized that, for the first time, an AI has managed to communicate in a truly “human” way.
