This week, the death of Arleen Sorkin, the voice of Harley Quinn, shocked the entertainment world. The actress was mostly known for this role in Batman: The Animated Series. Reportedly, she was 67 years old at the time of her passing.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023. The cause of her death still remains unknown. However, it has been stated that the voice of Harley Quinn struggled with several health issues in recent years, and these conditions kept them away from acting.

Following the official announcement of Sorkin’s passing, her former colleagues decided to dedicate a message in her honor. For example, Mark Hamill, the actor who worked for years with Sorkin by playing the Joker in the animated Batman series, stated he felt devastated after learning the world had lost the brilliant Arleen Sorkin. He affirmed the actress had a wonderful talent and was also a great person. He also stated that he kept Sorkin’s family in his prayers.
Arleen Sorkin’s career started in the 1970s, but it really took off when she played Jones in “Days of Our Lives” for 6 years. She also was a part of Duet, Open House, Dream On, Ted & Venus, I Don’t Buy Kisses Anymore, and Frasier. Still, the key moment in her career was her being the voice of Harley Quinn in Batman: The Animated Series. Originally, it was supposed to be a one-episode character only, but she returned for 8 more episodes and ended up becoming an important part of the universe of DC.
