Subscription services, including the PlayStation Plus, are a good option for enjoying video games. They offer a variety of content and they tend to have an affordable price. However, costs for these services tend to increase over the years, which means player will have to eventually spend more money.

For this reason, a PlayStation player decided to purchase an almost 3-decade subscription to the PlayStation Plus Service. The investment was made to avoid price hikes in future years, and thanks to this move, the fan will get to have a subscription until 2050.

The man, who specifically bought a 27-year service membership, had his purchase shared on the Reddit community. Internet users were surprised to see the screen of this player, who is a Turkish resident, after he decided to get a subscription for such a long time. His screen says he paid about ₺46.000 TRY (Turkish liras), which is about 1700 dollars.

Upon the publication of this pictures, some players have said that the Turkish man’s desition was great, as this would represent monetary savings in the future. In contrast, others affirmed that this was a mistake because the system might experience adjustments in a couple of years, let alone about three decades.

Similarly, some other players shared concerns regarding Sony’s terms and conditions policies. If the company was to modify them, that could impact the player’s extended subscription, especially considering that some services limit regulations for subscriptions. For example, Sony restricted the stacking of PS Plus and PS Now subscriptions in some regions as they were updating their service.
