Can Donald Trump continue his campaign in the United States after multiple investigations?

The presidential elections in the United States have been marked by some controversies from Donald Trump. The fact that he is the subject of investigation for multiple cases is something that has had people asking if he could still run for president given the difficulties could pose.

As a result, expert analysts have been conducting a review of the American Constitution to determine whether the former United States leader would face any problems that could put a stop to his aspirations to be in the White House again.

On one hand, some argue that the United States Constitution has very few restrictions on those who aspire to be the country’s president. As a result, the current allegations and investigations against Donald Trump would not make a difference nor affect his presidential candidacy.

For example, today, Donald Trump will face a court in Washington, after being accused of reversing the results of the 2020 elections. At the time, Joe Biden, his opponent was elected president with 51.38 percent of the voting. In addition, In addition, he was also pressed with charges in Florida for the mishandling of classified White House documents, which were later found at his place in West Palm Beach, near Miami.

About the controversies, Law Professor at the University of California in Berkeley, John Yoo told Voice of America that the former president could still run for president and be elected, because the Constitution sets very few requirements such as having a certain age, being a citizen, being a resident in one of the states, but it does not give clarity regarding the legal status of a candidate.
