Robert Kirkman talks about the live-action for the Invincible animated series

Ever since the animated series Invincible by Robert Kirkman premiered, a lot of fans have been begging for a live-action adaptation. Well, those who did so might be on their lucky day, as the series creator, talked about a promising live-action film and gave positive information regarding a potential release.

Kirkman, who is also known for his work in “The Walking Dead,” provided the audience with an update on the current status of the Invincible live-action movie. He stated that Universal is currently committed to the project, in spite of the ongoing actor’s and writer’s strike in Hollywood. He told SDCC that:

“With the strikes and everything, it’s all stalled, and rightly so, Everybody’s doing a great thing trying to make sure that future generations get to be able to work and thrive and survive in this industry. Everything’s been put on pause, but it’s something that I know Universal is very invested in, and it’s something that we’ve been working on behind the scenes up to this point. Hopefully, I’ll be able to answer this question in a more answerable way at some point in the future.”

The Invincible motion picture has been in the works for over six years now. The team includes Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg in charge of the script. According to the information, there is still hope that the film will continue progressing once the movie industry stabilizes after the protests.

At the moment, the second season of the beloved animated series will make a return after a three-year hiatus. The show is scheduled to premiere on November 3 on Prime Video.
