Burger King is one of the biggest food franchises in the world. Their places are visited by thousands of people every day and they are well known for selling relatively cheap meals that are good for filling your appetite. However, the “cheap” part was taken too far by one of the assistant managers of a South Carolina Burger King place. The woman was arrested after allegedly giving clients French fries that were taken from the trash can.

The woman was identified as Jaime Christine Major. Apparently, she took the fries from the trash and added them to the container where the fresh ones are placed, and later put just-cooked ones on top, placing the bad ones in the middle of the container. The 39-year-old was charged with tampering with food (a felony) on Monday, July 17, after the Union Police Department investigated the issue.

According to officials, a disturbance took place at the fast food place on July 9, where two women started yelling at the staff with threats. Reportedly, they refused to calm down even when the officers said so. As a result, they were also arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. But the incidents did not end there, the authorities were called again and this time they found out that Major had used trash fries as food for clients.

The woman is now under investigation, and if she is convicted, she could be sentenced to 20 years in prison. In addition, the judge set her bond at $20,000., and she still remains in custody at Union County Detention Center.
