The Pokémon franchise grows bigger every time with its video and card games, animated series, and other products and merchandise. This time, it is the turn for the upcoming game Pokémon Sleep. This new release is ready to send trainers to bed and track their sleeping patterns through the new game, as it shown in its latest trailer. The short video explains to users what the goal of Pokémon Sleep is, as well as some instructions and recommendations when playing the game.

The announcement displays the user’s interface when utilizing the app. It includes sleeping track patterns and the possibility to catch different Pokémon as they go to bed. This will let them complete their sleep style Dex, which challenges trainers to obtain as many Pokémon entries as possible, all by sleeping regularly. Additionally, during day time, players will have to feed a Snorlax by giving it berries and increasing its “drowsy power.” This ability fosters the appearance of new Pokémon in the game.

The most important part comes at night time. The application will start tracking sleep, so the more players rest, the more score they will get next morning. However, if they have a bad night’s sleep, their final score will be lower. Users will be able to access sleep data such as the movements or sounds they made during their sleep. In addition, the announcement advised players to keep their smart devices plugged in, leave their screens on, and place their cellphone face down by their pillows or on top of their beds.

As of now, Android users will be able to pre-register to obtain the upcoming application via Google Store. However, iOS owners will have to wait some more time, as the game says there will be more updates soon about its release for these devices. There is still not an official launching date for Pokémon Sleep, so further details could be coming soon leading up to its final launch.
