K-pop boy band TXT and Jonas Brothers team up for a new song

After some days of speculation and excitement, both, K-pop boy band TXT and the Jonas Brothers, have officially confirmed their collaboration for a new song. The announcement followed a series of “mysterious” photos and hidden messages the South Korean and American groups had posted to different social media platforms, such as Twitter and Instagram.

The song in question, produced by Ryan Tedder (known for hits like “Halo” or “Bleeding Love”) is titled “Do It Like That” and it will be made available on July 7 on streaming platforms. However, the material output will not be stopping here, as TXT and the Jonas Brothers are set to drop a track highlight on June 22, concept photos for the single on June 28 and a teaser for the video, which is now scheduled for July 5.

As part of the confirmation, the bands also took social media to share a short funny clip where the singers of “Sucker” and “Sugar Rush Ride” can be seen. The video features music from the Zoolander movie, and it has been recently used to create TikToks or reels.

This marks the first time the Jonas Brothers have ever collaborated with a K-pop act. However, this is not the first time TXT collaborates with Western artists. The “Blue Hour” idols have joined voices with singers iann dior (stylized in lowercase), Coi Leray or Alan Walker.

With this release, both acts could potentially be continuing their hot streak in the charts. Earlier this year, TXT was able to debut their “The Name Chapter: Temptation (EP),” in the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 200, and it currently holds the record for the longest-charting K-pop album in the U.S. Similarly, the Jonas Brothers got to the top 10 of the same list with their sixth studio album “The Album”, which was put out on May.
