The Netflix series “Emily in Paris” filming and production have been delayed

Netflix’s “Emily in Paris,” starring British-American actress and model Lily Collins, was set to be filmed in France earlier this year. However, its production was postponed as a result of the TV, streaming, and film writers’ strikes that have been taking place since May 2023. The Golden Globe-nominated series has been delayed by two months. The Netflix show is about a young executive from Chicago who is hired by a French marketing agency.

The fourth season was supposed to be filmed at the end of summer in Paris, but the production of the show has been delayed due to the writers’ strike, Netflix has not yet made any statements on the issue, but the original plan to start shooting the series has changed for late summer or early fall.

Philippine Leroy Beaulieu, who plays the character of Emily’s elegant French boss commented that “they are waiting for the for it to be resolved and they’ll see how it settles.” Later on, she added that “she supported it.”

“Emily in Paris” fans are now looking forward to the announcement of the upcoming season of the streaming series. However, they will have to wait a little more due to the fact that the strike does not have a definite time and new attempts to restart production are not fully secure.

Several Hollywood productions have also been postponed due to the ongoing strike in the entertainment business. Scriptwriters are asking their employers for better working conditions, especially after the boom of streaming.
