Artificial intelligence has seen unprecedented growth up until today. However, this AI boom has caused a number of controversies due to how far it has come. In this case, it is now involved in romantic relationships, and that is how Rossana Ramos, a 36-year-old woman took a chance on virtual love.

The young woman used the Replika AI platform to design and create her ideal man. She took into consideration the likes, desires, and expectations she would have about him. As a result, she started falling in love due to the great communication she had with her AI boyfriend. In addition to that, she also felt comfortable as he “would let her be as she always was with no judging or criticism.” This text interaction grew into a relationship, and they are now a couple. The digital man’s name is Eren Kartal.

Kartal is a chatbot that is able to have conversations with people, depending on their preferences. For this reason, Rosanna’s time with the bot felt very pleasing. In her words, he was able to “protectively hug her as she fell asleep.”

This AI application has a 300 dollars membership, and there are several relationship types users can have with their chatbox. In Rosanna and Eren’s case, this would be a “romantic partner” relationship. However, its developers have made some changes so that it did not show bold sexual behaviors, which was not very nice in Rosanna’s view.
