Locked Up is one of Netflix’s most successful series

Locked Up, originally titled Vis a Vis (from the French “face to face), is one of the most successful Spanish series on Netflix, due to the great impact it has had on viewers. The series even managed to beat other originals from the streaming service such as “Money Heist” (titled “Paper House” in Spanish). Coincidentally, both series share the same actors in the cast.

The series’ plot revolves around a woman who is the lover of her boss. This young woman is sentenced to serve seven years in prison for serious crimes such as manipulation and appropriation of bank accounts, as she was being directed and manipulated by her own boss.

Maggie Civantos, the main character’s name, will have to survive in a completely new world and will have to quickly learn how to live around a group of dangerous women in jail. The series has a total of 4 seasons that involve love, friendship, and other daily life situations in its story.

The audience has scored the Netflix product with 91% of approval, and it has been in everyone’s eyes since then. Due to it being part of the streaming service’s catalog, the series managed to climb the ranking of the most watched on the platform.

One of the biggest differences this series has had, at least when compared with others, is the positive impact it managed to obtain with its audience becoming bigger each season worldwide. Of course, Locked Up is not the only one to take all the praise, as Money Heist has also been watched in different countries and is also quite popular.
