WhatsApp is no longer running for 36 cellphone models, find out if yours is included

WhatsApp keeps moving forward, and it has been incorporating new tools and functionalities in the mobile version of their instant messaging service. However, as of today (June 1), a number of cellphone devices will no longer be compatible with the chat application. As a result, millions of users will now have to revise their options to keep making use of this service.

In total, 36 types of cellphones are not going to be able to run the Meta application anymore. In this sense, the fastest and easiest solution is to acquire a more modern cellphone to keep utilizing WhatsApp. The following are the affected devices in the list:

  • Samsung Galaxy Core
  • Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite
  • Samsung Galaxy Ace 2
  • Samsung Galaxy S3 mini
  • Samsung Galaxy Trend II
  • Samsung Galaxy X cover 2.
  • LG Optimus L3 II Dual
  • LG Optimus L5 II
  • LG Optimus F5
  • LG Optimus L3 II
  • LG Optimus L7II
  • LG Optimus L5 Dual
  • LG Optimus L7 Dual
  • LG Optimus F3
  • LG Optimus F3Q
  • LG Optimus L2 II
  • LG Optimus L4 II
  • LG Optimus F6
  • LG Enact
  • LG Lucid 2
  • LG Optimus F7
  • Huawei Ascend G740
  • Huawei Ascend D2
  • Sony Xperia M
  • Lenovo A820
  • ZTE V956 – UMI X2

  • Faea F1THL W8
  • Wiko Cink Five
  • Winko Darknight
  • Archos 53 Platinum
  • iPhone 6S
  • iPhone SE
  • iPhone 6S Plus

But why is it that these devices cannot WhatsApp as of today? This is related to the operating system. All the cellphones mentioned above will not have their operating system updated, as they are already old models which cannot keep up with to date with the latest revisions of technology.
