Tina Turner, Rock ‘N’ Roll queen, passes away at age 83

Signer Tina Turner passed away this Wednesday, May 24. The passing of the American artist has all her fellow peers sharing words of gratitude and remembering how inspirational she was throughout her music career.

International media has now confirmed that the death cause was a disease she had been long battling with. Her passing occurred at her own home in Küsnacht, near Zurich in Switzerland.

Her talent was first found during her teenage years by Ike Turner, who would later become his husband. The signer became a hit during the 60s and eventually earned her status as a pop, soul and rock’n’roll icon due to her explosive and dazzling performances, as well as her hit songs.

Incredible hits in her catalog such as “A Fool in Love” and albums like “River Deep Mountain High” (1966) catapulted her into stardom and made her a big name in the music market. All of these career-defining moments happened as she was being victim of physical abuse in the hands of her husband.

The artist had to deal with a tumultuous life throughout her career. Ever since she made it big into the music business, she had to deal with his husband’s physical abuse and the death of her elder son, Craig Raymond Turner, who committed suicide in 2018.

After divorcing, she went through the release of very special and popular songs in the 80s decade, such as “What’s Love Got To Do With It” and “Private Dancer,” which confirmed she was still a popular and relevant artist 20 years into her career.

The release of her last album “TwentyFour Seven” in 1999 marked her retirement from the music industry. Since then, her public appearances have been very limited and the singer would only be spotted in events related to “Tina,” a musical which was made in her honor.
