It has been about two years since American singer, Olivia Rodrigo, released her debut studio album. She took off with the success of “Driver’s License,” from the album “Sour,” which spawned a total of 5 singles and sold 8 million copies around the world. Surprisingly, the record is still charting at #53 on the Billboard 200.

Rodrigo has taken a time out, though. Ever since the tour came to an end and the last single was released, the public has not gotten any word from the singer. No collaborations, no new singles or videos. However, it looks like the wait for her second studio album might be coming to an end. Fans have started speculating about new music releases coming up very soon.

For instance, her website now has a new merchandise collection to celebrate the second anniversary of the “Sour” album. Her followers have been using their investigator skills and found the new merch t-shirts are decorated with a driver’s license on the print. The expiration date that can be seen on the license is Friday, June 30, 2023, and Friday is usually in which artists decide to release new songs or albums.

Is this the beginning of Rodrigo’s new music era? It might be, as the singer has been going to the studio for quite a few months, so it would only make sense for her to release the album this year.
