Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian‘s breakup wasn’t a mutual decision. According to a friend of the comedian, the former ‘Saturday Night Live‘ star was the one who decided to end the relationship.
The comedian and businesswoman surprised everyone when they started dating late last year after Kim appeared on the SNL broadcast. The former couple split last July, with rumors suggesting the breakup was mutual, but it was a friend of Pete’s who believes this isn’t true.
Host Johnny Potenza, who hails from Pete’s hometown of Staten Island and cast him in his first television role in 2010, suggested to The Sun:

“I think Kim had too much baggage for him. He’s 20 years older, has four kids, and is still married to Kanye West, who was always making trouble for them. Kanye would start fights and call him names. For a man his age it was childish, pathetic love drama“.
Johnny added that “most” of the people he spoke to in Pete’s hometown openly said his relationship with Kim “wouldn’t last” and noted that “everyone was shocked” when they started dating.
While Pete has preferred to keep some details about his relationship with Kim and her breakup under wraps, the SKIMS founder has opened up about her former partner in a new interview, calling him “cute”
“She’s literally such a good person, they just don’t do anything like him anymore“, she told Interview magazine.
“I’m excited for what he has in store for him“, she added.
