Doubts have recently arisen regarding the economic situation of the British monarchy, after Queen Elizabeth II put up for rent through Airbnb, a property of her Norfolk estate, where royalty usually spend Christmas.
According to information from DailyMail, this would not be the only property that the queen has put up for rent, since she also began offering cheap reservations, for only 15 pounds sterling per night, in the picturesque cabins of her Balmoral estate, in Scotland.
Although prices for the Norfolk house tend to vary, it is estimated that it can be rented for 354 pounds sterling per night next February, for a minimum of three nights.
Airbnb describes the Garden House rental as a “lovely hideaway, owned by ‘her majesty of her’, Queen Elizabeth II, situated in the heart of her prized Sandringham estate and the closest property to Elizabeth’s own home Sandringham”

According to the listing, it offers “charming and relaxed accommodation” for eight guests spread over two floors. “Eclectically furnished from the royal collection, all the furniture and paintings were once in a royal residence“.
While the gardens, which are “an absolute delight and provide a magnificent setting for this idyllic home“, offer guests the opportunity to enjoy outdoor space.
The announcement comes a week after the Queen declared that tourists could enjoy a discounted break at her Balmoral estate amid the UK’s cost-of-living crisis. The cheapest – the Colt Cottages – start at £555 and sleep up to five people. This works out to £79 per night for a family of five or just £15.80 per person per night.
