The wife of the actor and comedian, Alessandra Rosaldo, was the one who communicated Derbez’s status through her social networks:
“I want to inform you that a couple of days ago Eugenio had an accident. He is fine, however, the injuries he suffered are delicate and in the next few hours he will have to undergo surgery. The operation is very complicated, but it does not compromise his health“, the singer published.
“The recovery process will be long and difficult since he will have to rest for several weeks and then undergo rehabilitation therapy… At this time, the priority is to focus on this process so that Eugenio can get ahead, taking as much time as possible. necessary to do so“, she added.

Derbez’s wife concluded by mentioning that she appreciates everyone’s support, and that in addition, she will be the one who will share the director’s health status as well as the evolution after being operated; all through social networks. Meanwhile, she hopes that he will recover soon so that she can resume his life.
As Rosaldo reported, the accident occurred over the weekend, and according to various media, he suffered the mishap while playing video games, an injury that would have affected the actor’s shoulder, although the way in which he was injured has not been specified; but he will have to go through the operating room.
