Heidi Klum was the first German model to earn Victoria’s Secret Angel wings, and for more than 13 years, one of the brand’s most coveted wings until she took them off in December 2010. For this reason, she can be considered one of the best qualified to comment on the series ‘Victoria’s Secret: Angels and Demons‘.
“I saw it and I thought it was pretty boring, to be honest“, the supermodel said on the latest episode of the ‘Just for Variety With Marc Malkin’ podcast.
“Hardly anyone I knew was on that show. I didn’t know who half of those people were, so I thought, ‘Who are they talking about? It’s so weird. I’ve never met any of these people’“.
The three-part production, which premiered last month, reveals Victoria’s Secret’s alleged behind-the-scenes issues, including bullying, sexual harassment and body-shaming, throughout the Angels’ two-decade existence.
Heidi Klum tells @marcmalkin that she declined to be interviewed for Hulu's "Victoria's Secret: Angels and Demons": "I was like, 'If you’re looking for a negative story, you’re barking up the wrong tree because I had the most wonderful time there.'"https://t.co/1s2zz2uJFZ pic.twitter.com/i1Fz7trc3e

After years of scandal and under new management, Victoria’s Secret has apologized and rebranded and ditched the Los Angeles campaign. As one of the biggest names of that era, Klum is mentioned on the show, but she does not appear on it.
“They contacted me. They asked me if I wanted to be in it, and I told them: ‘If you’re looking for a negative story, you’re in the wrong tree, because I was very good there’“, said the executive producer and presenter of ‘Making the Cut’.
“I felt like they were my family. I traveled the world with them. I made great friends: Alessandra (Ambrosio), Tyra (Banks), Adriana (Lima), Gisele (Bündchen), you know. We had a great time together. So Hearing all these stories, for me, was mind blowing. When they accuse different people of doing things, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, did this really happen? I don’t know. I kept watching it for more information, but it never came, so I stopped“.
