Netflix, the streaming giant, which interrupted production of the film about the life of Will Smith for hitting Chris Rock during the last delivery of the Oscars, resumed talks to start the project.
A source close to the platform assured The Sun newspaper that although the production of the Will Smith biopic had been abandoned due to the actor’s slap in the face of the comedian during the awards ceremony, it was said that:
“Enough time has passed to let things settle down. Now talks can resume about a biopic that Netflix was interested in“.
The insider added that even the moment when the “I Am Legend” star punched Chris Rock after the comedian compared Jada Pinkett Smith‘s shaved head to Demi Moore‘s haircut in the movie “GI Jane” will be part of of the production argument.
