Netflix has already released the trailer for ‘Wednesday‘, its new eight-episode series based on the famous Addams Family and directed by Tim Burton.
Starring Jenna Ortega in the role of the youngest of the family, she is joined in the main cast by Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmán (Gomez Addams) and Issac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams). Netflix revealed that the series debuts “this fall” on the streamer, no official release date has been announced.
“‘Wednesday’ will focus its action on the figure of the young woman as she enters the Nevermore Academy as a student. There, she must master her incipient psychic ability, stop a monstrous wave of murders and solve the mystery in which her parents were involved 25 years ago“, explains Teddy Biaselli, director of Netflix original series

With Tim Burton behind a project that we already had some news about more than two years ago, the fiction is expected to be widely seen and to have the intervention of Christina Ricci, actress who played Wednesday in the famous 1991 film.
Her role has yet to be revealed, but according to Deadline, she could play a completely new character in the family tree of this particular family.
