After 3 years of dating, Florence Pugh confirmed to Harper’s Bazaar in her September cover interview this year, published on Tuesday, August 16, that she and Zach Braff quietly broke up in early 2022.
“We’ve been trying to do this split without the world knowing, because it’s been a relationship that everyone has an opinion on“, Pugh said.
“We just feel like something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together. So we’ve done it. I automatically get a lump in my throat when I talk about it“.

Throughout their relationship, the couple faced harsh criticism for their 21-year age gap, while Pugh is 26, Braff is 47.
“I’ve always found it funny how I can be good enough that people see my work and support my work and pay for the tickets, and I’m old enough to be an adult and pay taxes, but I’m not old enough to know who I should and shouldn’t have sex with (…) Again, making a young girl feel like shit for no reason. I think I felt like shit for a while for admitting that, and then I was like, ‘How ridiculous is that?’ that?’” Pugh said in July 2020.
