Bob Odenkirk says goodbye to ‘Better Call Saul’ with the arrival of the series finale

Bob Odenkirk shared a heartwarming message for “Better Call Saul” fans on the occasion of the end of the Netflix series. The followers of the Breaking Bad spin-off were surprised with the final episode, entitled Saul Gone, which premiered in the United States yesterday, Monday, August 15th.

Odenkirk, 59, starred in the spinoff as Saul Goodman for a total of six seasons, which followed his first four seasons on Breaking Bad. And to mark the end of an era for Goodman, the actor shared a two-minute video of him on social media.

Everyone has been asking me how I feel about saying goodbye to Saul Goodman and Better Call Saul, and I’m not good at answering the question because it’s frankly hard for me to look at that experience, and even that character as well, up close“, the actor said.

I didn’t do anything to deserve this role, but I hope I’ve won it after six seasons“, he added.

He said that the cast, consisting of Rhea Seehorn, Michael McKean, Jonathan Banks, Tony Dalton, Michael Mando, Patrick Fabian and Giancarlo Esposito, “made me a better actor than I am, just working with them“.

Watching them work has been an incredible experience“, added Odenkirk.

Thank you for giving us a chance, because we came off a lot of people’s favorite show, and we could have been hated for just trying to make a show“.

But we weren’t, they gave us an opportunity and hopefully we made the most of it. Thanks for being with us. Better Call Saul is a closely watched idiosyncratic story about a very unique guy, a little slow at times, but in the end, if you paid attention, it was about big, big things inside people. Thank you“, he finished.
