Angelina Jolie’s daughter Zahara to study at this historic university. Find out

The oldest of Angelina Jolie‘s three daughters with Brad Pitt is preparing to embark on an exciting new stage in her life. The 17-year-old Zahara has chosen the private liberal arts college Spelman College to continue her education.

It is the oldest women’s college at HBCUs, the universities founded in the United States during the segregation era to combat discrimination against African-American students.

Her mom is delighted with the choice her daughter made, even though it means that in the coming months she will have to move to Atlanta, Georgia. Angelina shared on Instagram a photo of Zahara with her soon-to-be classmates, in which they all pose proudly in their college T-shirts.

Zahara with her Spelman sisters! Congratulations to all the students starting this year. It’s a very special place and it’s such an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl“, the actress wrote alongside the snapshot.

While it will undoubtedly be hard for Angelina to see another of her six children leave the nest, at least Zahara opted for a college that is relatively close to Los Angeles, where the actress made her family home after her divorce.

Her firstborn Maddox, on the other hand, preferred to go to study at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. However, she returned to the U.S. during the Covid-19 pandemic because the classes became online and it seems that she has not returned to the Asian country after graduating.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have six children. Three biological: Shiloh, 16, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 14; and three adopted: Maddox, 20; Pax, 18; and Zahara, 17.
