Ricky Martin broke his silence after his appearance before a judge in his native Puerto Rico, the case that his nephew brought against him, accusing him of having had a sexual relationship for several months and later of harassing him, was finally dismissed.
The singer, who is the father of four children and is married to visual artist Jwan Yosef, recorded a video message in which, evidently affected by the difficult situation in which he and his family found themselves immersed, he took the opportunity to thank all the affection he received from his fans and explain how he is feeling in general.

“I have almost four decades working on stage, in the public eye, and I have never had to deal with something as painful as what I have experienced in the last two weeks. I was a victim of lying.
Unfortunately, the attack came from a family member who sadly is dealing with mental problems; the only thing I wish him is the best and that he finds the light.
Lying does a lot of damage. It hurt me, my children, my husband, my parents, my whole family. I could not defend myself before because there is a process that I had to follow, where I was required to be silent, until I could unburden myself in front of a judge, and so it was.
Today it’s my turn to heal, because I’m very very hurt. I’m going to find calm, I’m going to find the necessary silence to see the light at the end of the road again, as I always did.
Thank you very much to all those unconditional fans who always sent me messages of love, positive messages. I insist, there is a God who rewards the one who focuses and lives in truth. Much love“, Ricky explained.
