It seems that Gwyneth Paltrow has fulfilled all her acting dreams. She has been recognized with an Oscar, a Golden Globe and two Screen Actors Guild Awards, so it’s no wonder that the Hollywood star is eager to develop other facets of her life.
During a preview of her latest talk with Willie Geist for the Today show, the star talked about her decision to leave acting to focus on her business. The CEO of Goop, her own wellness and lifestyle brand, said:
“I don’t really miss anything. I think I’m very fortunate to have been able to do it and I’m sure I still will at some point“, she said of her acting career.
“My team always wants me to do a movie, but I really love what I do and I love how immediate it is and how we are able to create a product out of nothing that we believe in so much“.

The actress considers the experience of developing products for Goop to be “so powerful” that she doesn’t “dream at all of making movies” again. However, the star plans to return to her origins as an actress to fulfill a promise to her mother, Blythe Danner, to do a play, “so I’m going to fulfill that promise at some point“.
In 2019, Gwyneth had already hinted at her desire to leave acting during a talk with Harry Kargman, founder and CEO of Kargo, for a panel at Advertising Week New York.
“I wouldn’t say I’m passionate about it anymore. I’ve had a lot of luck and a lot of work, which led to a really good film career. At a certain point I felt like it wasn’t what I wanted to do, so I did a little twist“, the actress shared about the creation of Goop.
