Sandra Bullock announces retirement from acting due to this syndrome

Sandra Bullock, film and television actress, director and producer, who has excelled in film art for titles such as “Speed“, “Miss Congeniality“, “Ocean’s 8” and “Gravity“, among others. On Thursday June 23th, at 57 years old, she announces that she is temporarily retiring from the entertainment world.

The famous Hollywood celebrity decided to take a break because she suffers from Burnout or Professional Burnout Syndrome, according to an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. She stated that her emotional and physical conditions are not adequate to continue her work.

I don’t want to be beholden to anyone’s schedule but my own. I am so burned. I’m so tired and I’m not capable of making smart healthy decisions and I know it”, she explained.

Work has always been constant for me and I have been very lucky, but I realized that it was possibly becoming my crutch. It was like opening a fridge all the time and looking for something that was never there”, she commented, explaining that her daily routine left her little time to spend with her children and her husband Bryan Randall.

I want to be in home. I just want to be home… Because I was always running, I was always running to the next thing. I just want to be present and be responsible for one thing”.

If I decide to retire, then I will make that announcement. A very important announcement that no one will care about”, she concluded.
