According to the publication, the studio led by Donna Langley won a “war” for the play’s script. Names like Florence Pugh, Odessa Young and “Euphoria” star Alexa Demie were among the candidates for the role. The auditions were reportedly grueling, as the character requires dancing and singing skills.
Committed to this project since 2020, Madonna stated that she hopes to “convey the incredible journey that life has taken me as an artist, a musician, a dancer, a human being, trying to make my way in this world. The focus of this film will always be the music. Music kept me alive and art kept me alive. There are so many untold and inspiring stories and who better to tell them than me. It is essential to share the roller coaster of my life with my voice and my vision”.
