After more than six weeks facing each other in the courts of Fairfax, Virginia, in the United States, the time has come for the conclusions of the trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard as a result of an article that the actress wrote for The Washington Post in 2018, in which she presented herself as a victim of domestic violence at the hands of a former partner.
Although the actress never named Depp, he sued his ex-partner for defamation that she has allegedly destroyed her image and career. However, this morning the jury reached a verdict that surprised those who followed the legal process that revealed many indiscretions of both actors.
The jury entered the court and the judge asked the president to announce his decision, after three days of deliberations, the decision was known, with the absence of the actor who was in London, England.

“Mr. Depp proved that he was defamed”
Outside the court the hundreds of fans gathered, the helicopters of the television stations and all the reporters listened attentively to this ruling. Unanimously, each of the questions that were asked during the trial were answered, and it was decided that there was a defamatory intention and that Heard acted with malice.
Thus it was considered that Depp proved all the intentions of being defamed and with all the evidence it was reported that a compensation of 10 million dollars and an extra five should be given.
Heard won one aspect of her counterclaim, for which Johnny must compensate her with two million dollars; in punitive damages there will be no type of compensation, for which analysts of the television networks in the United States consider that the jury completely believed in what Depp said and not in her.
