One of the most beloved sagas by adventure film lovers is that of Indiana Jones, played in his four feature films to date by Harrison Ford, who has revealed that he will reprise his role in the fifth installment of the franchise.
After the four films, “Raiders of the Lost Ark” (1981), “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” (1984), “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” (1989), and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” (2008), James Mangold has taken the reins of the next project, which is supposed to be seen in the summer of 2023.
The Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim has been full of surprises. Moments after John Williams and an orchestra performed the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” theme live for convention attendees, the music suddenly changed to the iconic “Indiana Jones” tune, and Harrison Ford took the stage.

Ford set out to present news about his fifth adventure as the professor who knows best how to crack the whip. ‘Indiana Jones 5‘ presented the first image of him, in which we see Ford backlit crossing an apparently unstable bridge inside a cave, flashlight in hand.
‘Indiana Jones 5’ has also revealed its final release date after being delayed several times. On June 30th, 2023, the first installment of the saga will hit theaters, which has not been directed by Steven Spielberg, but by James Mangold.
No word on the plot, but Ford said at Celebration that he’s “really proud of the movie they’ve made“. Harrison Ford is joined by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, and Antonio Banderas.
