Ellen DeGeneres, Metairie, Louisiana, 64, has said goodbye this Thursday, May 26th, to the audience with whom for almost 20 years and 19 seasons she has shared unforgettable moments with celebrities as enthusiastic as her. Jennifer Aniston, the guest of the first program in the heyday of Friends, closed the cycle with other guests.
The comedian was involved in controversy when statements from program workers began to emerge that spoke of toxic climate and mistreatment by the central figure. Although she defended herself against those accusations, she also announced that she was going to say goodbye to her from her program, assuring that she was not because of her complaints.

In the month of May 2021, she announced that she would end her show. At the end of season 19, almost a year later, this Thursday, Ellen DeGeneres recorded the last program and left a heartfelt message on her Instagram account.

Things finally settled down when DeGeneres opened this final season with an emotional speech in which she apologized “to the people who were affected“, said she “takes responsibility for what happens on my show” and announced a “new beginning“:
On the other hand, the presenter has said goodbye to the program with an emotional final speech in which she has not been able to contain her tears remembering her difficult beginnings.
“Welcome to our last show. I walked in here nineteen years ago and said this was the beginning of a relationship. And today is not the end of a relationship, it’s more of a little break”, she said.
