Biden warned that he will take a decisive response if Russia decides to invade Ukraine

Joe Biden, the president of the United States, has warned his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that he will take action if he decides to invade Ukraine.

The US president has expressed his defense of the sovereignty and integrity of the Ukrainian territory in the face of the increase in the Russian military presence on the border

In response, the Kremlin reportedly warned Biden that a new round of sanctions against him could lead to a complete breakdown of relations. Putin also insists that they will behave as Washington would if someone deployed offensive weapons near US borders.

In recent weeks, he has raised concerns about a possible Russian attack on Ukraine that, according to Ukrainian and US sources, could occur earlier this year. Russia, for its part, denies preparing for an offensive and has expressed that the West pays excessive attention to the movement of troops across the borders.

Biden reiterated Washington’s backing to his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday. “President Biden made it clear that the United States and its allies and partners will respond decisively if Russia invades more Ukraine,” White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said in a statement.
